Why vintage?

To put it simply, because it all just seems so perfect.

There just seemed to be so much style and in such a polished way. Back in time, from the twenties to the sixties so much effort was put into perfection or the appearance of it. Design and style seemed to be in everything. The clothing, the furniture, the appliances, the cars... the list goes on and on. And when it came to products, they last and continue to inspire things that we own today. It just all seemed to be so well thought out.

It was so perfect, it almost transcended reality. The idea of that lifestyle is just that; more of an idea and that is what I love about it. The show Madmen or the movie Pleasantville comment on the actual imperfections of those eras but there is still a magic to it all.

So, how does this relate to Mabel? I want the products to follow these ideals of that "perfect" time. To have style, to have a distinct design and to last.

  1. I TOTALLY agree! It seems like the only things that are made with such care anymore are far beyond my budget's reach!

By the way, I checked out your etsy store, those denim bloomers with the white buttons are TO DIE FOR! SOOOOOO CUTE!

I'm new to SITS too, and I'm really loving the support as well

    Happy SITS Saturday Sharefest! :)
